Craft Your MessageÂ
You have 3 seconds to grab attention. Turn your niche into a punchy, powerful tagline that speaks directly to your dream customer — and works everywhere you show up online.
The problem
Out of 100 florist Instagram bios I audited, not one spoke directly to a customer's pain or desire
I checked. All 100. And what I found was the same five mistakes repeated over and over.
→ They don't speak to a pain, desire, or emotion — just a location or a product name
→ They make it all about the business, not the customer
→ They talk about features instead of benefits
→ They speak to everyone — which means they speak to no one
→ They list so many offerings the customer doesn't know where to start
Some real examples from those 100 bios: "Flower delivery Sydney." "Fresh flowers available in store and online." "Whimsical and wild florist." "Weddings, events, funerals." "Flowers for all occasions."
Do any of those make you want to choose one over another? No. If anything they make the decision more confusing.
If your message sounds anything like these, it's costing you customers every single day.
The best communicator wins
There is more competition and more noise online than ever before. The florists who cut through don't have better flowers. They have a clearer message.
People don't buy what you do. They buy the result they'll get from choosing you. And buying flowers is an emotional decision — your marketing needs to speak to emotions, not just describe your services.
When your message is clear, something shifts. You attract better customers. You stand out from every other florist in your area. And you feel genuinely confident every time you show up online.
"A confused customer won't buy. Clarity in your message impacts your sales, the type of customers you attract, and the overall strength of your brand."
The framework
The formula: Offer + Result
That's it. Not your location. Not your occasions. Not a list of everything you do. Just what you offer and the result — the desire, the benefit, the feeling — your customer gets from it.
Your Offer
What you actually create or deliver — your product or service, stated simply and clearly.
e.g. "We create and deliver dreamy flower bouquets…"
The Result
The desire, benefit, or feeling your customer gets. The emotional outcome they're really buying.
e.g. "…for busy professional males to show love to their wives without lifting a finger."
Refined into a tagline: Blooms to boost brownie points.
Your message needs to be Simple — understood immediately. Relevant — speaks to your ideal customer's desire or pain. Repeatable — easy to remember and pass on.
